Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga

The KYM Conducts a two year part-time diploma on yoga covering certain aspects of Indian culture, practical and theoretical aspects of yoga, application of yoga to contemporary therapeutic needs, and the study of some important ancient texts on yoga. This course also includes a six month internship at the KYM premises under the guidance of a senior teacher. The classes are conducted twice or thrice a week. Participants who possess a graduate degree in any subject, within the age group of 20 to 50 are eligible for this course.Participants are awarded a post graduate diploma certificate upon successful completion of the course.

International Courses
The KYM conducts several intensive programs targetted exclusively at international participants. These programs focus on giving participants a holistic learning experience, covering different aspects of Yoga and allied studies.

Weekend Workshops
The Yoga studies department also conducts weekend workshops on a wide range of topics like "Restful Yoga for the Stressful". "Women and Yoga",and " An introduction to the classical yoga texts" to name but a few.These program are conducted regularly, and information about them will be displayed at the bulletin board, and also on the website www.kym.org.

Corporate Health Programs
Recognising the need for Yoga in today's high stress work environment, many corporates have approached the KYM asking for special yoga programs for their employees. The KYM offers personalized corporate health programs for a number of leading companies in the country. Some of our corporate clientele include L&T's ECC dividsion, Whirlpool, Godrej and Sara Lee.These programs are conducted either on the KYM premises or at the venues of the organization in question.

Off-campus Work
The Yoga studies department also presents seminars on a range of topics, outside the KYM campus, on invitation from yoga organizations all over the world. Senior teachers from KYM share their knowledge and experience at seminars and conferences all over the world.

Yoga For Children
With a view to providing children with a holistic education, the KYM conducts Yoga classes for children every Saturday. These classes are held in two batches - beginners and advanced. Contact for registering your child - admin@kym.org

Summer Yoga course for Children
Every Summer (April - May), a two week summer course is conducted for children. With classes every day, based on specific themes,children are introduced to a number of asanas and are familiarised with their attributes and practice. Special lectures, video presentations, quiz programs, and other creative activities also form part of the summer course. Yoga for Special Children
The KYM has been a pioneer in the area of introducing yoga for children with special needs. It has conducted several projects with collaborating organizations on introducing yoga for special children.
