A new project titled, "Siksana Krama" was launched on 3rd July. This project aims at teaching a group of underprivileged children how to do nearly 218 asanas in the classical manner. The participants in this program were selected from various social welfare organizations that have collaborated with KYM in the past. These children will undergo formalized training in yoga to enable them to later become proficient teachers. The whole project is being carefully structured and documented.

KYM-MITRA has also recently begun another project for physically and mentally challenged children in association with Vidhya Sudha, a center for special children, Porur, Chennai. Forty one children are taking part in this phase of the project.
