Mr. S Sridharan, Managing Trustee of KYM was invited by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga to attend a meeting in order to set up a self-regulatory body called "Indian Yoga Association." The meeting was held on 25th May 2008 under the chairmanship of Dr. B.K.S Iyengar.

Dr. Latha Satish, Trustee of KYM and Geetha Shankar, Director of Yoga Studies were invited to attend a meeting organized by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga ( MDNIY) New Delhi. MDNIY has been assigned the responsibility of finalizing the syllabus and accredition of Yoga Institutions in India by the Depatment of AYUSH (Ministry of Health & Welfare , Govt of India ). This meeting was held at Kaivalyadama, Lonawala from 23rd to 25th May, 2008 to finalise the yoga syllabi for Yoga courses and Yoga programmes.
